Ian has been teaching dentists for over twenty years, both in the UK and internationally, with courses delivered across more than fifteen countries including Lithuania, Latvia, Dubai, Russia, Ireland, Spain, Poland, Kuwait and Egypt. That experience runs from intimate hands-on masterclasses through to keynote lectures at major conferences, including the British Dental Association National Conference and the Irish Dental Association Annual Conference.

He remains very much a wet-fingered clinician. As a partner in a private practice in Central London, he carries out the full range of general and aesthetic dentistry, and everything he teaches comes from work he still does himself, day in and day out.

His teaching career began over twenty years ago with clinical dental photography, a subject he continues to teach today. He is the founder of photographyfordentists.com, now incorporated within the DENTER brand. As a Dentsply Sirona International Key Opinion Leader, Ian was also an early adopter of online education, delivering webinars worldwide long before it became commonplace. A number of these have been recorded, with several available through the Dentsply Sirona Academy.
