These Terms and Conditions apply to courses and educational programmes provided by DENTER Dental Education Resources (“DENTER”, “we”, “us”).

By booking a course, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. PROFESSIONAL AND BUSINESS BOOKINGS

DENTER provides professional dental education and training. Our courses are offered to dentists and other dental professionals for purposes connected with their trade, business or profession.

All bookings are therefore accepted on a business-to-business basis and not as consumer transactions.

By making a booking, you confirm that you are booking the course wholly or mainly for purposes relating to your trade, business or profession.

2. COURSE START DATE

“Course Start Date” means the first scheduled teaching day of the course or programme.

This applies whether the course consists of one day, two or more consecutive days, separate teaching days, or a programme delivered over several months.

3. BOOKINGS AND PAYMENT

A place is confirmed when DENTER has received the required payment and issued confirmation of the booking.

You are responsible for ensuring that the course is appropriate for your professional requirements and that you meet any stated eligibility requirements.

4. CANCELLATION BY YOU

If you cancel your place:

More than 60 days before the Course Start Date
Full refund less a £150 administration fee.

30–60 days before the Course Start Date
50% refund.

Less than 30 days before the Course Start Date
No refund.

Once the Course Start Date has passed, no refund is payable, including where the course or programme continues over further days or several months.

These cancellation terms reflect the advance commitments involved in providing small-group professional training, including faculty, venues, equipment, materials and limited course places.

5. TRANSFERS AND SUBSTITUTIONS

We will try to accommodate reasonable requests to transfer your booking to another DENTER course or allow another suitably qualified professional to attend in your place.

Transfers and substitutions are subject to availability, suitability and DENTER’s agreement and may be subject to any difference in course fee or reasonable additional costs.

6. CHANGES OR CANCELLATION BY DENTER

DENTER may occasionally need to change a course date, venue, tutor, timetable or course content.

We will notify affected delegates of significant changes as soon as reasonably practicable.

If DENTER cancels a course, you may transfer the amount paid to another suitable DENTER course or receive a refund of the course fees paid.

DENTER is not responsible for consequential expenses or losses such as travel, accommodation or loss of earnings. We therefore recommend using refundable or flexible travel and accommodation arrangements wherever possible.

7. ONLINE AND BLENDED LEARNING

Some DENTER courses include online, recorded or other digital learning before, during or after face-to-face teaching.

Access is provided to the registered delegate for their personal professional education only.

Course videos, presentations, photographs, handouts and other educational materials remain the intellectual property of DENTER or the relevant rights holder and must not be copied, recorded, shared, reproduced, published or distributed without permission.

8. EDUCATIONAL CONTENT

DENTER courses are provided for professional education and development.

Clinical techniques, opinions and approaches presented during a course represent the teaching of the relevant tutor or tutors and do not replace the delegate’s own clinical judgement.

Delegates remain responsible for their own clinical decisions, competence and professional obligations, including compliance with applicable professional and regulatory standards.

Participation in a DENTER course does not in itself certify a delegate as competent to undertake any particular clinical procedure.

9. PHOTOGRAPHY AND RECORDING

Photography and video may be taken during DENTER courses for educational, documentary and promotional purposes.

Where a delegate is clearly identifiable as the principal subject of promotional material, DENTER will seek appropriate permission before using that material.

If you do not wish to appear in general event photography, please tell a member of the DENTER team.

Delegates must not record teaching sessions or copy, photograph, reproduce or distribute course materials without permission.

10. LIABILITY

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to the above, DENTER will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from attendance at, cancellation of or changes to a course.

To the extent permitted by law, DENTER’s total liability arising from a booking or course will not exceed the course fees paid in respect of that booking.

11. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL

DENTER will not be responsible for delay, cancellation or failure to provide a course as originally planned where this results from circumstances reasonably outside our control.

Where this occurs, we will take reasonable steps to rearrange, relocate, modify or reschedule the course where practicable.

12. PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use personal information supplied in connection with bookings and courses to administer bookings, deliver courses, provide relevant information and meet our legal and administrative obligations.

13. GOVERNING LAW

For courses taking place in England or Wales, these Terms and the booking are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.

For courses taking place in Scotland, these Terms and the booking are governed by Scots law and the Scottish courts will have jurisdiction.
